Make Your Mark: Youth Artwork Workshop
Sat
12 Sep
2026
Rhianna will guide you through a series of prompts about your aspirations, family, culture and what Tauranga means to you, working with you to translate these into art. The art, stories, people and connections created in this workshop will be used as inspiration for Rhianna’s artwork for the Youth area of the new library, influencing how the final artwork will be.
Come by yourself or with a group of friends. Pop in for a short time or stay all afternoon. Feel free to dress or bring items to the workshop that represent your culture/beliefs/character.
This is a great opportunity to work with a local artist and be part of the new Tauranga Library and Community Hub, opening in October 2026.
This workshop is for teens and young adults aged 13-25 years old. No registration necessary.

Activity
These school holidays, BayActive has plenty of fun lined up to keep your kids active and entertained at The University of Waikato Haumaru Sport & Recreation Centre! Holiday Tumble Time runs from 9:30am to 12:00pm and is suitable for children up to 13 years old, including both primary and intermediate ages. Please note that children must be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times. Tumble Time offers a variety of activities designed to help children develop physical skills such as balance, coordination, climbing, agility, and fine motor skills. It’s also a great way for kids to build social confidence in a group setting, and for parents to meet new friends.
