School Holiday Tumble Time - Haumaru

These school holidays, BayActive has plenty of fun lined up to keep your kids active and entertained at The University of Waikato Haumaru Sport & Recreation Centre! Holiday Tumble Time runs from 9:30am to 12:00pm and is suitable for children up to 13 years old, including both primary and intermediate ages. Please note that children must be supervised by a parent or caregiver at all times. Tumble Time offers a variety of activities designed to help children develop physical skills such as balance, coordination, climbing, agility, and fine motor skills. It’s also a great way for kids to build social confidence in a group setting, and for parents to meet new friends.

Double Homecoming

Join Bay of Plenty Symphonia on Sunday, November 15, 2026, for a very special homecoming, as Tauranga siblings Anna and Dominic Lee return to perform with the orchestra that played a part in their early musical journeys. Anna and Dominic have both gone on to build impressive musical careers since growing up in Tauranga and taking part in Bay of Plenty Symphonia’s Rising Stars Competition in 2013. Now, they return to the orchestra as soloists in Brahms’ beautiful Double Concerto for Violin and Cello. It’s a chance to hear two accomplished musicians who grew up here sharing the stage, and to celebrate the journey that has taken them from Tauranga to audiences further afield.
