Show
The Tauranga Primary Schools Music Festival proudly celebrates its 70th anniversary marking seven decades of bringing young voices together in a spectacular celebration of music, learning, and community. This year's theme, Dream Big, encourages students to believe in themselves, embrace new opportunities, and discover the power of music to inspire, connect, and uplift. Through a vibrant programme of massed choir performances, students from schools across the Bay of Plenty will unite on stage to perform songs that celebrate hope, courage, resilience, and belonging. The programme features inspiring contemporary favourites including Celestial, Don't Dream It's Over, and This Is Me, alongside a wonderful selection of musical pieces that showcase the enthusiasm, talent, and commitment of our young performers. Each song reflects the festival's message that every child has the ability to dream, grow, and make a positive difference in the world.

Musical Comedy Night Performing musical comedy as The Singing Hobbit, Katrina McGuinness combines a powerhouse voice, relational humour and the sort of brutally honest storytelling that can only come from a woman with enough life experience to know better — and enough optimism to do it anyway. Sex, Marriage and Other Disasters is a mix of Stand Up Comedy, Cabaret and Musical Theatre that combines original songs, comedy, storytelling and one woman's spectacularly imperfect adventures through love, marriage, divorce, dating, parenting and menopause and everything nobody warned us would happen in between.
