International Buskers Day Out returns with twice the fun across two buzzing sites: Masonic Park and Red Square, plus roaming acts bringing surprises around every corner! Get ready for jaw-dropping performances from world-class entertainers from Taiwan, Italy, Japan, and Romania, bringing you acrobatics, magic, comedy, and artistry that will captivate all ages. Between performances, dive into the fun with vibrant face painting, strike a pose at the interactive photo booth, and treat your taste buds as you wander through the city centre’s cafés, eateries and shops. Free, fun, and full of wonder – make a day of it with the whole whānau! PLEASE NOTE: - Photos and videos will be taken for promotional purposes. - Accessible facilities, toilets, and roaming event crew in pink shirts for assistance - Sunscreen and first aid available on-site at the Buskers HQ tent. Step into a world of abstract and realism at the 6 Points of View Art Exhibition, running from 26–31 January in the heart of Tauranga. This dynamic exhibition showcases the work of 6 local Tauranga artists, each offering their own unique perspective and creative voice. Step into the Magic of Christmas in the Heart of Tauranga! Get ready to be swept up in the festive spirit as Santa sets up his enchanting Southern Hemisphere Grotto in the city centre with the grand opening on Saturday 6th December. Santa will also be arriving at the Tauranga waterfront via special delivery with Kewpie Cruises on Saturday 6th December at 9.30am. Come meet Santa & his elf and follow him up to the grotto! And as a special treat, the Santa’s grotto will be open till 8pm on Thursday 18th December as Downtown Tauranga brings Late Night Christmas shopping to the city centre. Santa’s Summer Grotto isn’t your average holiday hangout, it’s a wonderland bursting with vibrant decorations, funky festive zones, and joyful activities for the whole whānau and anyone young at heart. Snap a photo, share a hug, or high-five the jolly man himself — Santa and his cheerful Elf will be there to spread smiles and Christmas cheer! Meri Kirihimete, Merry Christmas Tauranga!
