Kick off the winter school holidays with a day of free family fun in the heart of Tauranga city centre! Join us for The Downtown Tauranga Drop-in — where families can literally drop-in on Dropin Ramps epic blow-up skateboard ramps as well as dropping in to discover the city centre’s newest spaces, favourite local spots, and fun activities on offer. Bring all the whānau in for a vibrant day packed with fun activities and giveaways on Grey Street. Whether you’ve got future skate stars, keen artists, or little entertainers in your tribe, there’s something for everyone to enjoy!

  • Dropin Skateboard RampsRamp up your skate skills and try out NZ’s first and coolest pop-up ramps, with friendly instructors on hand to help kids safely learn new skills and build confidence.

E tū Ururangi – behold the winds of life, carrying the promise and vitality of Tāwhiri-rangi. Celebrate the rising of Matariki with a vibrant day of connection, creativity, and remembrance at Te Ao Mārama - Tauranga Library. Bring your whānau along for a day filled with hands-on activities and rich cultural experiences. Try your hand at raranga (weaving), create your own contemporary mini tukutuku panel, shape a clay taonga, join our history hunt, and learn the basics of poi. Enjoy the beautiful sounds of taonga pūoro and uplifting waiata shared throughout the day.
