Bay Barbers has been in business for 35 years in the city centre this year, the last 10 years being under Frankie’s leadership. Originally on the other side of Piccadilly Arcade, they’ve been in their funky, new, bigger space for two years now and haven’t looked back.

Frankie is a breath a fresh-air, a quiet and humble achiever and a very passionate Downtown Tauranga business owner. She has been barbering for over 20 years, since she was 16 years old. Bay Barbers bought her to Tauranga, now calling it home with her fiancé Aaron and Flo their pup.

Frankie loves being in Piccadilly Arcade, they have their own little service hub with the barbers, a salon, shoe repairs, clothing alterations, and waxing just to name a few! The Arcade community all look after each other swapping tools & services when required.

Bay Barbers cater for all people and styles, from fades, beard trims, traditional shaves to first haircuts in the famous fire truck chair (which is a huge hit with the under-fives!). Their space is decked out with a pool table, bar leaner, books, a stellar line-up of products & giftware and great banter from the moment you walk through the door. It’s a great place to relax before or after a quick trim or a full grooming experience.

They have just added a Groom's package for the guys on their wedding day or stag party, where you can book the shop out for an hour, two or three, depending on the size of the party, play pool and get tidied up for the big day!

In 2016 Frankie also launched Frank & Flo, a 100% natural men's grooming range including beard oils and balms, tattoo aftercare and moustache waxes. The range was tried and tested by the winner of NZ’s very own Beard & Moustache competition and is available at Bay Barbers, online and at selected stockists around New Zealand.

Frankie and her team are always in hot demand, so bookings are highly recommended. They are open 6 days, Monday – Friday 7.30am – 5.00pm and Saturday 8.30am – 2.00pm.
