Turn Tuesday into a Tapas Trail of delight!

Disrupt the hum drum of winter with an evening of sensational flavours, divine cocktails and a great night out with friends.

Grab a ticket and some friends and join the Taste Tauranga Tuesday Tapas Trail!

Four iconic restaurant bars, four stops, four sensations. Picture this…

Arrive at Oscar and Otto and be served a delicious scallop based appetiser served with a glass of Verdhello, move on to Macau for Tempura eggplant with sichuan caramel sauce, raw king fish sweet and sour with Thai dressing and coconut cream, paired with plum gekkeikan Japanese wine. Next stop Nomad Food + Wine for a mouth-watering lamb rump with roasted lamb belly, baby vegetables, smoked beetroot puree, served with a devine dark and stormy cocktail. Finish your taste trail at the beautiful Clarence Bistro with a dessert of eton mess kiwifruit, passionfruit, green tea air, lemon curd and cherry pith ice-cream, served with a pink peppercorn cocktail. Yum!

Four of our city's iconic bars are bringing you a bespoke menu to suit the tastes of those who love a great craft beer and tapas to match as part of Taste Tauranga this August!

Get a group of friends together and enjoy the craft tapas trail on a Sunday afternoon on The Strand. Here's a peek at some of the flavours you have to look forward to....

Start your trail at CBK Craft Bar Kitchen with a Good George Pilsner served with a selection of their finest and most popular street food tapas. Head to the infamous Cornerstone Bar & Eatery where you'll meet Jared from Whakatane's Mata Brewery and enjoy matching their +64 Pale Ale with a trio of tapas including beef bulgoni, marinated teriyaki chicken wings and Welsh glamorgan sausage - a delicious vegetarian potato and cheese croquette served with cranberry sauce. Your next stop will be at The Crown and Badger where you’ll be served Moroccan spiced pulled lamb shoulder with haloumi, eggplant and harissa yoghurt slider and a herb roasted portobello mushroom with rocket, haloumi and romesco sauce slider, matched with Emerson’s Hazed & Confused IPA. End your tapas trail at The Hop House on Wharf Street where you'll be treated to a warmed chocolate brownie with malt cream, ambrosia, blackberry compote, vanilla poached tamarillo and local Jersey Cow caramel ie-cream matched with a chocolate stout.

Thursday 8th and 22nd August

Get your taste buds and stomachs ready for a tapas trail inspired by Americana flavour!

Three iconic restaurants are bringing you a trail filled with flavour and great atmosphere. Get a group of friends together for a fun night out in the city. Meet new people, try new eateries, sample great food and devine cocktails to match.

Picture this..... arrive at RYE Bar & Grill on Wharf Street and be served a Mac Slider with beef, cheese, pickled onion and the RYE secret sauce. Plus enjoy their Wagyu Pastrami Slider with onion jam, pickle mayo and Mexicana cheese, served with an espresso martini or your choice of house-made soda. You'll then move to The Phoenix where you'll be served fried chicken lollipop with secret sauce, brisket and cream cheese stuffed jalapenos, and southern crab cakes with cajun remodale sauce, paired with the house-made Phoenix Cocktail. Finish your taste trail at Lone Star on The Strand where you'll be treated to a Classic Cocktail with either Hatfield & McCoy or John Lee Pettimore, plus sample the Lone Star redneck ribs and tiger prawn cutlets. Then enjoy the legendary longhorne cheesecake and milky bar pud.
