Short on time during the workday, but need to blow off some steam? Here are some exercise routines that you can get done in 30 minutes or less, and some suggestions of where to do them. Before commencing the workout, get in a light jog or brisk walk for five minutes to warm up.
Workout: Chest & arms
Location: Tauranga Waterfront
● 12 press ups
● 10 diamond press ups
● 10 pull ups (if you can find a suitable bar)
● 12 seat dips (a park bench will work perfectly)
● 1 minute plank
Repeat the circuit 4-5 times.
Workout: Legs
Location: Masonic Park
● 12 squats
● 30 seconds of high knees
● 12 lunges (each side)
● 12 hip raises
● 10 jumping squats
● 1 minute plank
Repeat the circuit 4-5 times
Workout: Core
Location: Memorial Park
● 12 sit-ups
● 12 mountain climbers
● 12 leg raises
● 12 crunches
● 12 scissor kicks
● 30-second side plank (right)
● 30-second side plank (leg)
Repeat the circuit 3-4 times
