Easter is just around the corner and what better time to eat delicious chocolate - guilt free of course! Chocolate isn't just for the kids, I'm about to take you on an Easter hunt through the city centre. Discover some of our best chocolate and treat lovers spots in Downtown Tauranga....
First up, Cabbages and Kings. Their range is phenomenal, from Devonport Chocolates, to giant bunnies and decadent chocolate truffles, all displayed beautifully. Buy the perfect gift or treat yourself here.
Off Grey Street there is a lane that heads to the Durham Street carpark and in that lane are two of my personal favourite foodie spots. One is of course Falaffel Metro and the other is Thy Neighbor. Most people know Thy Neighbor for their fantastic coffee.... but did you know they sell mint crisp and caramel crunch Fair Trade Chocolate?? Go all out and try their iced chocolate too.
Who says Easter has to just be about chocolate? If you're a donut lover, this is a treat you might find hard to resist. Popular Tauranga Cafe Nourished Eatery on Willow Street have the most amazing Rocky Road Donuts in store!
Raw slices are an amazing vegan option....they're healthy, sweet, colourful, creative and delicious! Try the Grindz matcha cheesecakes and Little Long Cafe nutella and blueberry slice.
And lastly, the classic and warming hot cross bun. Some of our cafe's I've discovered who sell fantastic homemade ones like Robert Harris Cafe on Willow Street, The Mediterraneo Cafe on Devonport Road and Dry Dock Cafe on Wharf Street. Enjoy!
