Bethlehem Tertiary Institute Graduation Procession

Graduation is a time to celebrate our students’ well-deserved accomplishments and to reflect on future possibilities. It is the focal point of Bethlehem Tertiary Institute’s calendar and a very emotional time as students finally realise their dream of becoming a teacher, counsellor or social worker. A number of students have completed a Level 4 certificate in preparation for academic study. The parade down Devonport Road is an opportunity for the city of Tauranga to share in the excitement and the pride of the students and their whanau, and the pipe band leading the colourful procession adds to the festive atmosphere. There is also the joy of reunion with classmates, mixed with the excitement of starting a new career, as typically over 80% of our graduates find employment after completing their qualification. This year there will be over 100 graduands, as well as the spectacle of the staff in their full academic regalia, so it is sure to be a day to remember.
