Amateur Photographer Annabelle Court won 3rd place in this year’s Trustpower Photographic Exhibition with her stunning image 'AI Buddy'. We asked Annabelle some questions about her love of photography and entering the exhibition.
What made you enter this year's Trustpower Photographic Exhibition?
The competition kept popping up on my Instagram, but my dear friend Beth was the one to mention I should enter and get my work "out there" to a wider audience! So glad I did!
What was the inspiration behind 'AI Buddy'?
I love seeing my kids relaxing and playing - especially when there is no screen involved. Eddie who is pictured here, loves to be at home, especially after a long day at school. The light at this time of day and the way it lights up the room and garden is just wonderful, I like the way it was shining on Eddie's Meccano Robot ‘Buddy’. I am always looking for a new photo opportunity and always with a camera or two close at hand!
How do you feel being selected as 3rd Place?
I feel ecstatic, excited and really, really chuffed with a fresh burst of confidence :)
How long have you been interested in photography?
I was handed my first camera at the age of ten. I've been hooked since.
Anything further you would like to add?
A massive thank you to all involved, and to everyone who has supported me with this wonderful journey.
