Looking for a fun weekend outing with your best four-legged friend? Bring them into the city centre for a change! There are some great dog-friendly spots that make for a pawesome day.

1. Memorial Park

Get those zoomies out with a walk around beautiful Memorial Park. There’s lots of open space for chasing the ball, plenty of trees to sniff and you’re right next to the water for a dip to cool off.

2. Animates - 262 Cameron Road

After an ocean swim, it’s time for a bath to get rid of the sand and salt! Pop into Animates and use their super convenient DIY dog wash for just $10. No appointment needed… just bring a towel. Your pup will leave feeling silky smooth and smelling their best.

3. Crown & Badger - 91 The Strand

You’ll probably be feeling a bit peckish right about now, so it’s time for a refuel. Head to Crown and Badger for a beer and a burger out on their patio with your pup at your side. Don’t forget to share some of your chips 😊.

4. Paw & Partners - 89 Grey Street

Top off your dog’s day out with a visit to Tauranga’s newest boutique pet store, Paws & Partners – distributer of handcrafted Hunter dog and cat accessories. They have a beautiful range of collars, leashes, clothing, beds, toys and so much more. Treat yourself… and your best bud.
